Heaven Sent

How do I start? How do I say? What you do for me each day?
The love you give, so freely spent, somehow for ME, Heaven sent.

I wonder, I marvel, I ponder how, a love like ours could be.
The answer comes swift and clear, this dream was meant to be.

How else would you know my heart, and I yours?
The closeness from the beginning, like timeless love's reward.

I love everything that's part of you. Your being, your mind, your soul.
To find you, to love you, predestined without question... foretold.

Only One knew, or planned, how our lives would mesh, combine.
If I only had known, so long ago, how our story would unwind..

Which leads me to wonder, if all of it needed to fall before.
For today to happen, this universe for our hearts to explore.

I am thankful in part, because I learned to give you my heart.
The importance of love, to have peace, happiness, and to live.

Lessons learned, pray God, never forgotten, my love, today, ever.
My heart needs you, for everything, desperately, always, forever.

Your gentleness Jeff, your smile, your goodness, your love.
More than I prayed, more than I ever asked, from our God above.

I love you for all that I can say aloud and exponentially more.
There is in you, My Love; countless virtues there are no words for.

For all that you have been for me, Jeff that you are, and will be,
I love you more each day, each breath, each word, glance, kiss.

And I thank God for both of us, for this life, this love, this dream.
